Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has participated in numerous TV series. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents moved to the US and were given asylum. Her parents raised her two sisters in Northern Virginia. Her career on air began with several National Commercials. Ghanizada's appearance as Chiara in Laura Neri 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose as Chiara was nominated for Best Actress at a film festival. Her television credits include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Psych and Castle. The most recent role she has played is the role of a supporting character on the show Blood Shot, (2009) - based on the science fiction film Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was first noticed in 2008 when she was a part of the team for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift featured Ghanizada as the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra, a physician who is a specialist in holistic healing.
